Subject: [BVARC] TailTwister repair update

Here is my 'Greek' ring gear received last week from SV1VS:

And my newly acquired 'brand new' TailTwister:

There is not a bit of weathering on it. It is missing one U-clamp, but
that's easily replaced. The only thing I need to confirm is that the pinout
of the plug is the same as my current rotators. Most likely it is.

I also replaced the pot on the 'spare' unit I am rebuilding, now I need to
watch YouTube again to make sure I put it together correctly...but most
likely I am going to put the 'new' unit in services and keep the rebuild as
a spare. Then I will have another non-functioning unit for parts...or if I
can find yet another ring gear (I suspect that is what is bad on the unit on
the tower) I'll have another spare or something to sell.

N4AL also has a fold-over aluminum tower and antenna he wants to give away.
Tower looks to be in great shape...beam may need some work

I can get details if anyone is interested.
