You can use your 7300. Refer to manual, wire key plug as needed for
straight key or paddle and select that key in settings. Choose break-in
(not full break-in) set code speed to whatever (10wpm?) and mode to CW. Now
set radio to any frequency outside a ham band and it will key with sidetone
without transmitting anything. For insurance, you can turn transmit power
all the way off. Have fun.
