Before Iget into the update, I want to apologize for not sending this out
sooner.Traveling three of the last four weeks has kept me busy and playing
catch-upmost days.

Thefirst thing I want to mention is the club's election. We had a
wonderfulturnout for the election and chili supper (cannot forget the great
chili) lastThursday. I want to thank everyone that participated in the election
from allthe members that came out, to the candidates that stepped up for the
election,to the election committee and finally to the BVARC cooking team. The
clubwould not survive without the energy that everyone had for the meeting.
There wasa total of eighty-one votes cast with no invalid proxies or membership
issues. The election was truly a "clean election".

Those eighty-onevotes produced three new members for the BOD. I want to welcome
the new memberson the BVARC Board:

RecordingSecretary      SeanLinkenheimer, N5LNK

Two-YearDirector          Philippe Boucaumont,K5BOU

One-YearDirector          DaphneRawlinson, K5VQY

I appreciate the three of you stepping up to help with management of BVARC.

I also wantthank Terry Leatherland, K5PGF for his time as a one-year director.
His time onthe BOD was beneficial to the club and will not go unnoticed.
Andfinally, I want to thank the club for electing me for another term as
clubpresident. I will continue to support BVARC and the amateur radio community.

Thesecond thing I want to mention is the December program. Mike Lambert,
KI5MIKwill be talking about “Backup Power, from Chasing Gasoline to Sun&
Batteries in 2019 to 2020". So, make sure you mark yourcalendar for Mike’s
program in December.

I want to mention the BVARC annual awards coming up on Thursday,January 18,
2024. The banquet will have a meet and greet time at 6:00 pm with
dinnerstarting at 6:30pm. More information on the menu and the cost will be
