We will be using W5BSA for the callsign.

And all over the bands. As well as the satellites..

Hello.

This coming Saturday Boy Scout Troop 202 will be camping in North-East TX and
will have a Portable HF/ VHF/ UHF Station Set up. I will be working with scouts
on their Radio Merit Badge. What time and Frequency's will you be operation on?

Thank you,

Phil (KI5WIC)

If it helps, several of us will be setting up a JOTA event at the Boy Scouts
Headquarters this Saturday at 10am until 2pm or so.

We dd this last year as well with GREAT results.

Off of 610 North at TC Jester.

We’ll have a couple HF stations as well as a satellite station active too.

We will also be launching a balloon with a WSPR tracker on it, like we did for
the BVARC field day back in June. With scouts around the planet tracking it.

In competition with a JOTA group in Austin.

Come on over and join us.

Howdy,

My name is Eric Lieb I am the Cubmaster for Pack 806 in Houston. I have several
scout families that expressed interest in participating in the global Jamboree
On The Air event this weekend. I am hoping to find a club or organization that
already has plans to participate that I can send our scout families too,
ideally on Sunday October 22nd.

Please let me know if BVARC or another radio group in Houston has organized
plans.

Thank you,

Eric Lieb

P.S. Depending on your memory some might remember me. I was a member of the
club a long time ago when I first earned my Technican license (KF5GWY). I made
my first contact with a club member on the BVARC repeater when i got my shiny
new kenwood th f6a radio. I don't do much ham work these days ( too many other
hobbies, family, and life competing for my time). I also no longer live within
the range of the BVARC repeater. I enjoyed my time with BVARC and may one day
join the club again. 73.
