Thanks John. I set the DNR to 4 already. As Jeff(Greer) mentioned, it appears the main culprit could be the way I was running my coax in the home. I was running it near to the kitchen appliances and guess that interfered. I set up the radio this evening and it’s performing way better than last two weeks. I have to yet turn on the DNR today :). Rick sent a nice article on HF receiver basics and I am planning to go through it which might help understand the various components including attenuation.
