My sound comes through just fine on all my devices. I have found that sound can be difficult when running WSJT-X. I’ve spent lots of time looking at the sound settings on the computer I have the rig connected to. I know for certain it is a computer issue (because it happened before it started using Chrome Remote Desktop), but after a period of time, my computer decides to send the sound out through the speakers instead of out to the rig. I have to close and reopen to WSJT-X for it to work right again. This behavior happens exactly the same when running Chrome Remote Desktop.
For me, Chrome Remote Desktop sound works perfectly – it sends exactly what would come out of the computer speakers. If you are having trouble, it must be something specific to your setup. I just try team view and I can hear sound from my iPad if I use SDR play as an example. Did I miss something on Google Desktop? I run it on the computer that my radio is connected to. I can use it remotely on other computers and my phone. I’ve made 90% of my FT8 contacts remotely – sitting in my living room, in line at the post office – anywhere and everywhere. I have 2 screens connected to the laptop and it handles that very well. The app for the phone works perfectly and easily.
