Does DISCORD work on a PC though, that's where 99% of my mail is read,
if it's not WINDOWS 10 compatible, FORGET IT.. š

Discord has a channel type called a āforum channelā which
automatically organizes all content as threaded posts. I am in another
server with several channels set up that way. When I click on an item
(in a web browser) the thread pops up in a panel to the right. You can
tell which channels are which type by the icon beside the name.

As an example of organizing a specific thread for discussion and
planning, I've created an MSWE thread under the club-events topic.

Discord is very discordant, it is not organized,Ā it is just long
threads,Ā Ā a proper forum is organized by topics and sub topics and
if you have a question you do not have to read 600 posts to get an
answer.Ā discord is like trying to get a question answered on twitter
or over the radio.
I will be happy to spend a few hours setting up a bvarc only forum,
if it gets used great if not then not much lost.

Eric and all else interested in our Discord,
The BVARC Discord is used for a few different things. First let
me explain the format. We have several different "Channels"
which are essentially chatrooms specialized to different
topics. Some of those channels include: "General" for general
conversation among our members, "local-nets" for discussion or
follow up on our nets, "equipment-sales" for posting equipment
for sale and to ask if anyone has a particular item,
"parks-on-the-air" for discussion about POTA and about our
monthly POTA events. Discord is generally accessed via the
"Discord" app, but can also be accessed via the Windows or Mac
program available on their website Discord.com
<http://discord.com/>, or directly in your computer browser.
To join our Discord "Server", first download the app from your
app store. Create an account (you can use our format "Name -
Call Sign", or use any username you want and just let me know
when you first logon by posting a message with your name and
call sign and I will change it for our server so everyone knows
who you are. Once you have the appĀ installed and an account
created, follow this link
<https://discord.com/invite/kwVGeXM7UH> on your phone (or
computer if you are logged in via the PC or Mac program).
That link again is: https://discord.com/invite/kwVGeXM7UH
That's about it. I will see what I can do to get the word out.
BVARC has lots and lots of events coming up, so everyone stay
tuned on all our platforms (Facebook group, email reflector,
and Discord). BVARC POTA on March 26th at Galveston Island
State Park is a big one coming up!
Thanks and 73!

Jimmy, it appears that the existence of the club Discord

Could you please post a little more information about the

Hey all,
does the club have any interest in an internet forum?
like an organized digital ragchew?
I have a server at home that is only hosting
www.ki5zho.com <http://www.ki5zho.com/> at the moment
and it could be put to better use.Ā I would be happy to
provide the forum and all the technical support for
free. it might take some of the responsibility off
anthony to answer all of my questions all the time. and
other new users could look up the answers to all the new
person questions.
anyway just an Idea i had as I was posting to the many
boards.
