Think it is backwards standard 1/4 wire rope breaking strength is 7,000 lbs and 3/16 is 4200 for 7x19 galvanized.   You can buy cable at Home Depot or Lowes and make your own cables.  You could try Alps Wire Rope or Southwest Wire Rope but I'd suspect they are premium priced.   You might check with Bill Cordell to see if he knows anyone

I have an HG70HD tower that has been in service for 15 years. When I bought it used, it was probably at least that old already if not much older. I found one of the cables in the tower has frayed, so down it stays until I can get it recabled.

Has anyone recabled an HG70HD? Can you give me some information and tips please?

I found the following information in the manual. I am hoping someone can confirm these dimensions:

Item 4 p/n 690346: CABLE 1/4” x 59-1/2

Item 5 p/n 690198: CABLE 1/4” x 20-1/2

Item 6 p/n 690197: CABLE 3/16 x 20-1/2

I called MFJ. “Tom” told me the cables are: 1/4” 4200 lbs breaking strength; 3/16” 7000 lbs breaking strength.

Now I need to find a shop that can build the cables or find someone who may have these parts. Any suggestions or recommendations? I live SW of Houston, Texas. I am also attaching all the information I have on hand so far. I am also copying the manual and drawings sent by MFJ as reference.
