I'll nominate Randy Pollard (AK5G) for the Dr. Bill award. He and Larry
Jacobson (K5LJ) were in attendance at nearly every BVARC test session this past
year. On the ARRL VE roster, Larry currently shows 235 times attending sessions.
Also recognizing other VEs at BVARC that have lots of session counts: James
Burrough (N5DTT) with 227 and Larry Jacobson (K5LJ) (won the Dr. Bill award in
2002) with 195.
Thanks to all the other BVARC VEs who have helped out this past year: N5KJN,
K5IZO, K5GOL, K5OB, K5HM,and K5LER
MarkK5MGJ
Again, I'll not be at the banquet, Julie and I are celebrating our 30th wedding
anniversary that same day.

The BVARC annual banquet is next week on Friday, January 31. The deadline for
ticket purchase is Friday, January 24th. That’s tomorrow!!

If you plan to attend, you must purchase your tickets by tomorrow. We have to
have final numbers to the caterer Friday evening so please make sure you get
your tickets now.

And last but not least, if you have recommendation for someone for an award,
please let me know on Friday as well. It would be awful to have an awards
banquet and no one get an award!

Time is ticking away!
