Just spoke to Bill Cordell, W5VOM, who is coordinating the antennas for our Mega Field day. Here is what he said about what is going to be erected for Field Day.
"We have your triband beam antenna set for CW, two Mosley Shorty 40's (one for CW and one for SSB); Triband for SSB; and triband for digital and a 40/80 dipole for digital. Glen and I will try to head up the RTTY/FT8 radios.. There will be the big man lift for the CW guys, the 40 ft man lift for the phone antennas and we will use Hardwick's portable mast for digital" W5VOM. There will be three sets of antennas erected. One for CW operation, one for SSB and a third for digital including FT8. Each set of antennas will have the ability to operate 10, 15,20, 40 and 80 meters. Come help with antenna erection and feed line installation on the afternoon before FD and in the morning of FD. We can use your help. If you want to learn about antennas and feed lines, Rick Hiller, W5RH, our antenna Guru, has agreed to hold short classes at FD site on how these antennas work. More information on these classes will be sent later. Allen, N5XZ, will circulate a sign up sheet for operating time in the near future. We have 25+ people signed up so far. We can always use some more. Please sign up with Allen if you have not done so. COME JOIN US, EVEN FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, AT THE MEGA FIELD DAY. Nizar K0NM
