Well the use of one of KLLS AM1300 towers went well...180ft of Rohn45G with 120 radials of same length fed by 7/8 Heliax resulted in a broad bandwidth that did not require any touching of the tuner over the 1800-2000 range once tuned As well as the antenna worked, I ran into rig and keyer issues..got on Saturday night..1st QSO was K5NA! but being up late Friday and little sleep resulted in a short operation on Saturday night...not many QSOs.
But had fun....only 100 watts with good results into CA and Mexico..heard some DX from Europe but couldn't get thru.. Hope next year will be better.. Chris WB5ITT operating as W5APX
