I wonder if anyone has knowledge of a hard reset for a Wouxun KG-UVD1P. The
radio receives, transmits and changes channels ok. The problem was the screen
was blank and now is stuck showing gibberish.
I know there is a reset at menu 50 but I have no vision on the screen to get to
50. I have downloaded from a good radio to no avail.
I see something about a dealer mode that I can’t get to and I see a way to
unlock the software these assume a working menu.
I am looking for something like “hold down key (s) and turn power on.
Also for the other good radio, the modulation level for the PL tone is at
.5kHz,I think it needs to be around .7kHz. Does anyone have an idea as to how
to adjust it. The low level causes the repeater to drop me and beep.
