Honestly, I’ve been interrogated by the FBI for days at a time to get a security clearance back in the day. I would gladly be interrogated by the FBI rather than this judge. During Harvey, I manned HF and provided a liaison between Harris EOC and the state EOC. This method of having the HF station be “stand off” from the actual EOC and using 2m/440 between them is part of the plan we developed in NC ARES. It gives the HF operator better room to manage the radios without being inside the melee that is the EOC. I have been purchasing old radios and attempting to fix them. I’m getting too old and my health is not so good. I would love to have a new station with radios and gear that is under warranty for a change!
