Guy, help out a newbie with confirmation on this dilemma: I have been told by several HAMs that my little Beofeng is not allowed for GMRS even if a license is purchased because it is not certified part 90.
Then, I received a link from another HAM : http://www.gordonwestradioschool.com/attachments/FCC_Part_90_Certification_Baofeng_UV5R.pdf It seems that the little Beofeng IS certified. Is this something that is not commonly known? Am I missing something here? Please explain. Inquiring minds want to know. --... ...-- Philip W2OZB
