March 11 is the 98th birthday of the American Legion. In honor of that birthday, the American Legion Sugar Land Post 942 invites member of BVARC to come by for a crawfish boil anytime from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm. The national headquarters in Indianapolis (K9TAL) will be on the air taking check-ins. Post 942 is building a station now and will on the air for the first time using the K0D special event call sign.
Since the gathering is more about food, music and fellowship, our operating time on HF will be limited to 2:00PM to 3:00PM. The crawfish plates are available for a requested donation of $8.00 per person.
