I can confirm that you should find a good tech with experience to replace the internal batteries. Try the web site www.qrz.com in the forum where hams sell to other hams, not just for sale- the one that involves gear built by ham radio operators. Batteries Plus is now known as 'Batteries and Bulbs', yet if you are not in a hurry- you may save by checking Mouser / MCM / DigiKey / Newark / Etc. provided that you watch for minimum order and shipping costs. I am currently busy with other work... Maybe check with Gary Grivna... ( shipping could cost you... ).
