The K3's should be cooled off by now. The operators should not be hearing "CQ Field Day" or "Your 5,9 in South Texas" in their dreams. The body should have recovered from the sun (or at least you are not quite as red). With that said, the 2016 Tri-Club Field Day is over. With three CW stations, three SSB stations and two digital stations, the tri-club event brought in over 3000 contacts during the 24 hour period under the 8A classification (I can't forget the 6 meter station and the GOTA station). It was successful event that couldn't been done without the help of so many people.
This year's event from my view point was an extremely successful event even with the new location "issues". With everyone's help and perseverance, the event succeeded in what it was supposed to do - set-up in unknown area to provide communications. The event also succeeded in having a station for new hams to operate and a unofficial forum for exchanging ideas on antennas, equipment installations and operations. Basically a perfect Field Day. I will send out a full update on Field Day in the next few weeks once the points are tallied. It was a successful event that could have not been accomplished with the club's members and visitors. Again I want to thank everyone for their help for the 2016 BVARC/TDXS/ECHO Field Day. Mike Hardwick, N5VCX President Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club
