Plus the 480 makes for a great Remote Rig set-up..Ask Nizar about that.

I ran over the years..starting 1970 in my Dad's Mercury Comet - a Heath
Hw-100, then in my cars a Kenwood TS-120 and 130, Icom 735 and Icom 740.
But my favorite was the Icom 735.full QSK, filtered out, perfect size for my
Ford Taurus..worked the world mobile with it and my home brew 20 meter,
center loaded vertical.

Take a look at the Kenwood TS-480 sat and the TS-480HS. The sat has a built
in ATU and is 100 watt.

The HS is 200 watt with no tuner.

The 480 series has separate control heads and are superb rigs. Cost a lot
less than the 7100 also.

I am looking for some information. I would like to put a HF/VHF radio in my
truck. I am looking at the Icom IC-7100. I would like information on other
brands and a basic review on that model as well as the IC-7100.
