Age is not the barrier. It is very expensive to get multi-engine jet qualified. Even then you have to have a minimum number of jet hours beyond qualification to be eligible for hire. That's why UPS and Fed Ex hire as many ex-military pilots as they can. Very few civilians can afford to amass the required experience and hours it takes to get hired by these companies.
OTOH, it is very easy to get an amateur license, get on the air and make a fool of yourself. You may crash and burn but only in the figurative sense. I guess that's why they call it "Amateur" Radio. 73, Ron, K5HM <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.qrz.com/db/k5hm> www.qrz.com/db/k5hm Excelsior!
