Subject: HAM EQUIPMENT FOR SALE I have a Kenwood TS 940s which is excess to my needs and am offering it for local pickup only. I would rather sell as local pickup – it weighs about 44 pounds and I really don’t want to ship it. The rig has served me well and I never had a problem with it. It is exceptionally clean – I am the original owner. It has both Kenwood 500 Hz filters and I have the original filter boxes so if you don’t work cw, you could remove the filters and sell them on e-bay for about $70 each which would lower your overall cost. The rig comes without the microphone but these can be obtained on e-bay for $25 to $45. You will need to put in new lithium sub-display batteries – I am including 4 new batteries which have the correct tab – 2 are required for the sub-display. Even the manual is in very good condition – I take very good care of my ham equipment. I live in Sugar Land off of Eldridge road – Covington Woods subdivision.
