a.. BVARC August Membership meeting will be on Thursday, August 14, at 7:30 PM
at the Eldridge Park Conference Center (see BVARC home page for detailed

Ice Cream – It’s the Law!
The month of August, in Texas, is typically a month which is compared to
walking around with a thick blanket wrapped around your entire body.
And the blanket has been soaked in really hot water.
In order to relieve our members, if for just a couple of hours, of the hot and
humid South Texas afternoon, the Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club will be
serving up to our members and guests, the delightful treats of one of Texas’
best creameries.
Please join your fellow radio enthusiasts as they share in some delicious ice
cream and delightful eyeball QSO’s. The ice cream will be favorable and the
conversations memorable.
Almost as important as ice cream will be the vote to update our club’s by laws.
It is very important that we have as many members as possible at the August
meeting, in order that we can vote on the update. Our by laws are severely out
of date, and in order to bring them up to date, we will need you, and any other
member(s) that you can bring with you, to come to the August meeting.
Remember – We have Ice Cream!
