I know this is an old topic, however, yesterday I installed FreeDV. This is something that I've been wanting to play with for awhile.

The software seems to have some minor issues but mostly works. Unfortunately, at the time that I had everything up and working, there were no other stations currently using the mode.

I'll try again tonight. Right now I have other non radio work I need to get today before I can turn the radio on.

If anyone else in town has FreeDV and would like to setup a sched for testing, please let me know.

Seven Three,

Michael

Read the article, and there is talk about future integration into the radio unit it self.

Right now if i understand, the current digital voice modes are all proprietary licensed.
