Exactly, and that is the problem.
When you continue to engage with someone who makes a crude sexual remark
at my expense as if that's a perfectly reasonable thing to do, if you
just correct one small factual inaccuracy and let everything else stand,
you're sending a very clear message that the behaviour is otherwise
acceptable to you.
