I get the following when I try to run:

optirun glxspheres

[ 1835.346529] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: X did not start properly

[ 1835.346597] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

I did have to edit the file xorg.conf.nvidia and at: Option "ConnectedMonitor" I had to switch "DFP" to "CRT-0". After doing that I received the above response. I hope this is useful and you will let me know what I might be able to do to fix it.
