All, Today, we will be upgrading our controller node to AlmaLinux 9. This process will require approximately 30-45 minutes of downtime for related services. While this should not affect the uptime of VMs, please note that any VMs using a private network will experience a network outage during the upgrade. Several reboots will be necessary.
Hypervisor upgrades will be scheduled at a later date. Unfortunately, we are unable to upgrade any of the POWER8 nodes due to the removal of support in RHEL 9. Additionally, RHEL 9 has removed support for KVM hypervisors on ppc64le. However, we are collaborating with the AlmaLinux project to restore this support in AlmaLinux 9. Once these issues are resolved, we will proceed with upgrading the POWER9 and POWER10 nodes to AlmaLinux 9.
