OpenStack users of the OpenPOWER cluster, We will be changing the DNS endpoints for the controller node from openpower-controller.osuosl.org to a more generalized service name of *openpower-openstack.osuosl.org <http://openpower-openstack.osuosl.org>* between 10am-12pm PST (1800-2000 UTC) on December 18, 2023. This is needed as a part of a future upgrade and migration we will be doing on the controller node. This will also point to a new IP address which will act as a virtual IP.
*What this means for you:* If you use the API in any manner, you should update your authentication URLs to the new DNS name *after* we do this migration. The old DNS name *may* continue to work until we migrate to the different controller node at a later date. Some services may not work during the time we make the endpoint changes. If you use the web portal, the new DNS for it will be *openpower-openstack.osuosl.org <http://openpower-openstack.osuosl.org>*. We will be also making a redirect to make this easier for you. If you do not use the API or the web portal, you do not need to make any changes. -- Lance Albertson Director Oregon State University | Open Source Lab
