All, I wanted to give everyone a heads up on the current state of cooling in our primary datacenter. It seems one of the three HVAC units is down currently and will be out of commission for over a week. Temps should be OK as long as the other two keep functioning.

During some maintenance/repair work today we discovered that the compressor on that unit needed to be replaced. So while we wait for parts it is not functional aside from the fan. The good news is that the other two units are working and providing 100% cooling. I am monitoring air temps and will keep an eye on things until we can get this unit up and functional. >From what I know it is at least a 7 – 10 day lead time on the compressor.
