NERO is planning on doing several updates in the coming weeks which may impact our network. I'll be sending out exact dates which impact our network once I find out but I wanted to pass this along.

This is a quick email to inform you of a set of updates that are required for the NERO optical infrastructure serving the following POPs: - Eugene - Corvallis - Salem We are scheduling the work to be performed over a period of time from July 30th to August 10th, 2018. We are still defining the exact dates and times when the work will be performed at each of the POPs. We need to coordinate the work between the three sites. Our plan is to make this work as non-disruptive as possible. To that effect we are working with one leg of our optical equipment at a time. However, there are components that will need to be swapped out at the same time or circuits that are not redundant and those will be temporarily affected. We are working to set things up so we can reduce the downtime to the minimum time possible to perform the work. We will directly contact those members which we believe will experience down time. We will email back with more detail at a later time, as we finalize our work plan.
