Hey - So I've been doing some cleanup/tidying on builds.apache.org. Specifically, I've installed the Scriptler plugin to get reusable Groovy admin scripts, and using that, I've made sure that no jobs are polling SCM every minute. I've also put together a list of all jobs that aren't discarding any old builds, and will be acting on those soon. I'll send out emails to all the pertinent projects letting them know what I'm doing there, as well as these lists.
I also changed the default view you hit when you just go to builds.apache.org to a dynamic view of the last twenty completed builds - should help with load when people hit the front page. This doesn't affect links to jobs within views, etc, just what people see by default. Now I'm investigating some issues with hung threads and other general config weirdness. A.
