install protobuf-compiler on ubuntu jenkins servers?

Would it be possible to install the Protocol Buffer compiler on the
Jenkins Ubuntu build servers?  This is for the AvroJava build, which now
requires 'protoc'.  In Ubuntu the package to install is 'protobuf-compiler'.
