There are some known bugs in the Hudson remoting code that has caused some of these cases. This is currently being worked on by the Hudson devs, hopefully good things will come out of this. Also, some of these problems seems to be caused by networking glitches. However, over time, the slaves using the SSH slaves plugin rather than running over native SSH has seemed more stable, so I've now switched the Ubuntu slaves to using this as well. /niklas
