The attachment had NTHREADS set to 400. That was for a one off test. All my testing has been at 40 threads. Also, I noticed when the program is reported as Killed, this message is in /var/log/messsages: Aug 14 13:05:37 oracle ld.so:startup stack overflow in function _dl_bind Using different optimization levels or compiling with clang does not affect the intermittent crashes.
