Below are the latest dmesg and other data. Included disk info (Swap, /tmp & /var all sized just larger than physical memory). After the update, BIOS now has an option to disable hyper-threading that I do not recall seeing earlier. No option for Linux S3, like I've read about for Thinkpads.
