Looks like a bug...
I don't know why that would be as I didn't get anything like that in my testing with various input files. It could be that we are generating a faulty PDF which only breaks in some PDF readers. What PDF reader is this in? If it a problem specific to the particular input files you could email me them and I could take a look.
