Hi,

I have been using cfdisk -P s /device_nameĀ  to find the unpartitioned space in
my hard disks. However this doesn't always work. Sometimes I end up with a
FATAL_ERROR. I know GParted would do the job, but i am hoping for a command
line based solution.

Is there a way i could use parted to look up unpartitioned space on my hard
disk? Google hasn't been of much help so far.

I am trying this on a Debian (Lenny) system - parted 1.8.8

Thanks,
Vikram Nair
