Thanks for the report. Did you invoke partprobe yourself, or did some other tool? Please run this command as root and report its output: parted -s /dev/sda unit s print free (assuming /dev/sda is the disk for which partprobe failed) If that parted command didn't work, can you tell us more about your disk?
