Yeah, I suspected as much. For the record, this is the version shipped with CentOS4.6.
You might want to try a newer version. The latest stable release is 1.8.8.
Things seem to work fine after I actually created a disk label, so it's simpler to leave things as is. However, I will certainly upgrade if there are problems.
