When parted is given an unknown or mistyped option, it starts interactive mode anyway. For example:
# parted -V parted: invalid option -- V GNU Parted 1.8.6 Using /dev/hda Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands. (parted) In my opinion it shouldn't do this; it should report the mistake and stop.
