Yes you're right!   I think the main thing left to do is directories. After
that some better way to build a single json from the multiple outputs for
each submake.

I cannot at the moment see this being added to make proper - at least not
for some time.  So it's still a thing one has to build to use - but perhaps
I can come up with a PPA or some other thing like that to make it a bit
easier to get.
