Summary: .RECIPEPREFIX doesn't parse line continuations inside function calls Project: make Submitted by: jftrudeau Submitted on: Thu 28 Mar 2019 08:09:13 PM UTC Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Bug Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Component Version: 4.2.1 Operating System: POSIX-Based Fixed Release: None Triage Status: None _______________________________________________________ Details: The default .RECIPEPREFIX (TAB) allows line continuation inside function calls. Setting .RECIPEPREFIX causes the prefix to be inserted into the macro argument. The attached "prefix.make" demonstrates this behavior. "prefix.log" is the output. I tried several different prefix characters with the same result. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu 28 Mar 2019 08:09:13 PM UTC Name: prefix.log Size: 30KiB By: jftrudeau <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=46656> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu 28 Mar 2019 08:09:13 PM UTC Name: prefix.make Size: 1KiB By: jftrudeau <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=46657> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?56025> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-make mailing list Bug-make@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-make
