I definitely can, but is that really useful?  The current state of the
CVS HEAD is pretty pre-alpha: it's right in the middle of a lot of code
rework.

It seems to me that the safest thing is to apply the simple patch
attached to the bug report to your 3.81 code and run with that, if you
need this fix right away.

Let me know if you'd find the commit useful anyway.
