Do you know what is going on here?
I removed the m4 domain from the TP (archiving it) because m4 hasn't made an announcement to the TP for more than ten years, AND I've looked into the latest tarball (1.4.18) and none of the PO files from the TP are there. If the PO files are not being used, it is a waste of translators' time to let them translate this stuff. But as it seems you do depend on these PO files, what is the plan? When do you plan to make an internationalized version of m4? For many years the TP carried this note on the m4 page: "The future 2.x series will be internationalized". But it doesn't look like this will ever materialize? (By the way, the m4-latest tarball is older than the 1.4.18 one. Maybe delete those "latest" ones?) Benno
