thanks for the report. the file in question is copied from another project (gnulib), and the issue has been fixed there. in order to fix it in m4, a new release would have to be made (which would copy in the latest files from gnulib). in the mean time, feel free to ignore failures in that test as it has no impact on m4 itself. -mike
