Alas, this is a fundamental limitation of LilyPond: The part-combiner uses different voices for single and combined parts, and currently there is no way to have ties between voices. I can imagine that the part-combiner becomes more sophisticated to identify such situations emitting a work-around; however, I don't know whether this is possible. Please file an issue in LilyPond's bug tracker at https://gitlab.com/lilypond/lilypond/-/issues so that it is not forgotten. Werner
