I'm on Manjaro KDE 5.4.44-1, whis is Arch-based. I use lilypond 2.20.0-3 (build date 2020/03/16, packager Antonio Rojas : aro...@archlinux.org) and it works fine for me. If I'm not mistaken, Manjaro uses Arch repositories, with some additional code review before incorporating the last changes, so that there are potential corrections. In particular, the stable repositories *contains only packages that are deemed stable by the development team, which can mean weeks of delay before getting major releases of certain software* (source for italic claims : wikipedia).
So maybe that's why I don't have the same problem ?
