I attempted to run musicxml2ly on the file
<http://www2.cpdl.org/wiki/images/9/91/Alessandro_Striggio-Nasce_la_pena-XML.zip>
using the command "musicxml2ly -z --nd --nrp --npl --no-beaming *.zip"
and musicxml2ly 2.16.1 crashes with the terminal output:
