I suppose so: MXL = MusicXmL = .xml
but i'm guessing, too.
.xml and .mxl are both filename extensions for MusicXML files.
.mxl = compressed xml. Was invented to reduce the size of musicxml files
.xml = normal MusicXML file. Bigger, but human-readable (well, sort of
..., if you really want to)
