tbh - I didn't expect anything special, it just struck me when I saw the
difference.
Janek, I can follow your argumentation (and I agree with it) - as a
consequence, shouldn't the use of singular commands be discouraged in favor
of more consequently using the predefined commands \voice… and \oneVoice!?
eg. in NR Chapter 1: Musical Notation
I find:
"Stems
…
Stems may be manually placed to point up or down; see Section 5.4.2
[Direction and placement], page 544."
Here or in the referenced Section 5.4.2 a pointer to the \voice… command
group should be added (maybe even with a warning that overriding single
properties can lead to unexpected results)
I'll think about wording this.
shall we mark this issue as invalid?
