I think I mishandled this issue by posting my doubts on Rietveld. I assumed that my patch would be obviously correct or obviously incorrect for those who know the code that the documentation in question is describing. Perhaps I should have asked my questions here (on google code) rather than on Rietveld to make them more visible. As it stands out, nobody has answered and I have no time for a deep research to clarify my doubts. I just wanted to make an example in the documentation easier to understand. I thought is was a trivial issue. If it's not, it's not worth the trouble. Please close this issue.
