Well, "allows" is the right word since "implements" makes it sound like a feature. If it were a truly supported feature, it should be symmetrical, also allowing different slur starts with a common ending.
As it stands, you get either output corresponding to the input, or a warning. As long as we don't claim a supported feature here, that should be tolerable.
